NON-LEGAL AREAS
Although Riverbend Group specializes in attorney recruiting and other legal human capital-related consulting services, we also have capabilities in other areas. In many circumstances we are able to take on projects involving other industries such as real estate (in which Riverbend's founder specialized as a recruiter for five years before becoming a legal search specialist), health care and hospital administration, finance and accounting, international relations and consulting, public and government relations, human resources, sales and marketing, economic consulting, and others.

From 1985 to 1990, Riverbend Group's founding principal, Paul Heldenbrand, worked as a real estate recruiter with a Top 25 national executive search and consulting firm, placing primarily commercial property managers, leasing agents/brokers, building engineers, and construction project managers, together with executives in each of those areas. In 1990, he became a legal search consultant with the same company -- a natural move given his position as a practicing attorney with a Washington, D.C. law firm prior to entering the executive search business in late 1985. He remained in that position until he formed Riverbend Group in early 2005.

Despite his focus on the legal and real estate areas, over the course of his more than twenty-four years in the executive search business, Paul has had the opportunity to work on assignments in a number of other industries as well. (See the first paragraph above for examples of some of these areas.) In addition, since Riverbend Group works closely with a network of outside executive search consultants who specialize in a diverse array of industries and functional areas, there is almost no recruiting-related need that we cannot handle.
